The organic Montepulciano grapes that produce this medium-bodied red are sourced from two separate vineyards, Popoli and Capestrano. It is fermented in steel tanks without filtrations - very old style! Notes of black jammy fruit, black pepper, smoky tobacco and hints of vanilla.
It's a great wine to be served before a meal, but it pairs well with red meat, rich tomato sauces and mushroom risottos.
