A rather spicy Riesling from Koerner, this pale gold white wine was made with hand-picked grapes from vines planted back in 1974. It was fermented in a combination of ceramic amphora, steel and Slavonian oak for two months.
The result is a lot of fruit on the nose, with aromas of lime, apricot, stone fruit & citrus blossom. The palate is intense but sophisticated, with some minerality & spice, as well as citrus and zesty fruit such as green apple, lemon and lime tree. Bone dry, zippy acidity with steely minerality.
A very unique vegan wine that goes pretty well alongside roast chicken, shellfish, cured meat and appetisers.
